  • Overview

    The Director of Change, Organization Design and Deployment leads a team of professionals who are responsible for global ministry and enterprise change management processes, deployment analytics and enterprise level organization design. Provide sound change management methodology across major and complex change initiatives. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of tools as needed, working with key stakeholders, and helping to integrate across other projects as appropriate. This director further advocates among senior leaders and executives to raise effective change awareness, effective organizational design and ensure effective processes and decision-making to achieve desired outcomes. This responsibility includes hiring, discipline, and termination, as well as, coaching, performance management, assigning, checking, and approving work to achieve global strategies and objectives. The incumbent collaborates with other senior leaders and contributes to the development of functional strategy and makes decisions based on operational strategy and priorities.

    Essential Job Functions


    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Provides leadership, planning and consultation to executives, peer management and subordinates across the enterprise, in the successful alignment of assigned resources to ensure achievement of operational and strategic priorities and initiatives.
    • Integrates priorities within organizational strategies to ensure that department's role in the ministry's purpose is fulfilled.
    • Directs the development of the change management strategy and fully owns, end to end, the change management process for strategic transformational initiatives including the stakeholder engagement, change readiness, and measurement and adoptions
    • Responsible for the consistent execution of organizational change management programs for projects within regions and functions
    • Leads enterprise level organizational design and change capability (OD/CM) development initiatives to build internal capacity and capability for OD and change.
    • Conducts root cause analysis to uncover systemic issues that prevent healthy change and deployment of ministry initiatives.
    • Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and areas of flex as initiatives and priorities shift.
    • Liaise and collaborates with leaders across other global business areas on the deployment and execution of OD/CM activities within a function or region.
    • Coaches and collaborates with senior leaders to assess and propose OD/CM resourcing options for business areas.
    • Works with divisional leaders to assess and align on OD/CM risk based on existing initiatives and current OD/CM support levels.
    • Champions strategic thinking across major moves and change initiatives.
    • Collaborates with a variety of organizational leaders and other key project stakeholders to create and continuously improve a solid Compassion change management methodology.
    • Leads the socialization and implementation across the organization and monitors change saturation across common audiences as needed.
    • Coaches and advises members of the team on the execution of change programs.
    • Compiles or prepares and administers the annual budget and departmental expenses, ensuring accountability for on-time completion of deliverables based on department objectives, SLAs, and other Compassion standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and board policies.
    • Selects, leads and develops assigned staff, establishing goals and objectives, coaching and managing performance, including discipline, motivation, and annual reviews. Supports continuous learning and development that enhances individual performance and organizational capability.

    • Bachelor's Degree Business, Quality Management, or related discipline

    Work Experience

    • Relevant work experience required to enable the individual to be able to successfully perform the job as listed.

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP) designation by the Association of Change Management Professionals.

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 25% of normal schedule
