  • Overview

    The Program Administrative Supporter assists a team of Program Managers in the delivery of enterprise wide projects from initiation to completion. This experienced program administrative supporter plans, monitors and manages a variety of details related to programs in support of a team of Program Managers from initiation through completion.  At this career level, the incumbent is able to manage own time and generally works independently as a team member on larger projects.

    Essential Job Functions


    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Uses discretion and judgement to support the resources and details program planning. 
    • Employs structured methods and governance systems for monitoring and tracking deliverables and highlighting potential issues, to inform the Program Managers. 
    • Supports the program managers in designing schedules and plans for project execution.
    • Assists in tracking costs, resources, adjustments and deadlines, alerting program manager to any deviations from plan.
    • Provides progress reports and status updates in a timely manner to program managers and key stakeholders
    • Applies basic project management tools and resources in support of enterprise program tracking
    • May provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the project management discipline.

    • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline

    Work Experience

    • Three years Professional experience working in project management or a similar field.

    Licenses and Certifications

    • Certified Associate in Project Management Certificate granted by the Project Management Institute.

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
