  • Overview

    Support Compassion’s African American Relations’ global discipleship programs by aiding in the research, development, and implementation of partnerships within the African American community.

    Essential Job Functions

    You Will: 

    • Research and help define effective social media and personalization strategies for engaging new and existing partners.
    • Review and document current processes to create standardized African American Relations engagement manual.
    • Research and help define new processes for establishing global discipleship partnerships with churches, educational institutions, and community organizations.
    • Assist in the development of global discipleship curriculum utilized by new and existing partners.
    • Attend and assist with registration at Compassion Sunday rollouts.
    You have:

    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking skills.

    • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
    • Demonstrated excellence in customer service and able to maintain a high level of professionalism.
    • Experience in working in a local church.
    • Experience with Christian Education curriculum development desired but not required.


    BEFORE APPLYING FOR AN INTERNSHIP POSITION, please make sure you meet the applicant requirements for the Internship Program:

    • Must be a college student with an expected graduation date between May 2016 and December 2018. 
    • Must have a cumulative 3.2 GPA or higher. 
    • Must be available for the entire internship period.
    • Must have own transportation to Compassion International's Global Ministry Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 
    • Must be legally eligible for employment in the United States (i.e., if an international student, must already have a work or study visa, SSN, etc.). 
    • Must maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
    • Must act as an advocate for children-raising awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one's influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
