  • Overview

    Provides a professional level of analysis and administration in one or more various disciplines. Generally provides skilled work in areas such as budget preparation and tracking, process management, purchasing, communications and change, program implementation, project management, development, data research, analysis, business intelligence, and tracking, and/or information management. May accomplish any or all of the essential functions, or other professional duties of a professional administrative nature. Conducts work independently or participates as a team member for major, complex, or international projects and processes. May coach and oversee the work of other specialists.

     

    This position reports to the Director of Church Engagement and is based in Colorado Springs, CO. 

    Essential Job Functions

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Identifies and analyzes significant business process problems and defines the scope of activities required to address the issues, including requirement definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining where appropriate to increase productivity and efficiency. Prepares supporting documentation such as presentations, future state maps, success metrics, business requirements and related impact analysis.
    • Prepares the department budget, generates forecasts, analyzes trends and variations, and/or researches and reports economic data.
    • Gathers business data such as project costs or process metrics, analyzes the information, prepares forecasts, and generates and presents reports based on this analysis. Serves as a project manager for medium-sized projects with moderate scope and complexity.
    • Prepares and relays communication concerning business operations and outcomes to appropriate audiences to foster understanding and acceptance for initiatives, policies, and practices. Further, contributes to change integration across projects within the team. Works to identify change saturation among target audiences as needed.
    • Trains and advises key stakeholders on processes, guidelines, and opportunities related to the group or program projects and strategies, potentially including regional and field office audiences.
    • Develops consistent and effective metrics for the application of data in the ministry and develops strategy-related data/metrics definition, analysis, dashboards, tools, and artifacts to provide up-to-date status of key initiatives.
    • Proactive in partnering with other groups’ professionals when required to integrate information and processes across functions. Serves as a skilled contributor to various projects as assigned in support of the work of Business Support management.
    • May coach and provide expertise to other professionals and support staff.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree 


    Work Experience

    • Seven years' professional experience working in business analysis, business intelligence, data analysis, project management or a similar field.
    • Ministry experience a plus.
    • Experience with social media and project management a plus.

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
