  • Overview

    Serves as a trainer in support of all USA Marketing Staff. Provides training on technical skills, Compassion systems and organization processes to support sponsorship and non-sponsorship revenue generation across USA Marketing. Liaises with teams across Compassion to support understanding, collaboration and communication with and from USA Marketing. Develops and maintains resources such as training materials, procedure manuals, job aids and other information sources.

     

    This position reports to the Marketing Learning and Development Specialist III.

    Essential Job Functions

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Delivers formal and informal learning solutions. Delivers and may facilitate learning activities to a wide range of adult learners in groups and for individuals using platform delivery and classroom management techniques. Incorporates facilitation methods for instructor-led and virtual classrooms as well as media resources. Conducts activities to reinforce key learnings and assess effectiveness. Compiles and communicates data to measure performance and program effectiveness.
    • Guides individual participants through structured learning and interactions utilizing various facilitation techniques, adjusting style as necessary.
    • May participate in the audit and evaluating of existing content, assess needs and results, and recommend changes as appropriate. Maintains instructional materials as needed.
    • May coordinate with training and development vendors to provide training for employees or partners.
    • Utilizes knowledge of emerging Learning and Development strategies and best practices to enhance the success of assigned learning programs.
    • May develop, manage, facilitate, or participate in employee onboarding program. May also facilitate non-training events such as team-building, brainstorming, or other group sessions.
    • May provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the learning and development discipline.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Training, Education, Psychology, or related discipline


    Work Experience

    • Three years' professional experience working in training, education, employee development, or similar field.
    • Experience in innovative learning methods and technology is highly preferred.
    • Experience in developing engaging training in a formal classroom environment and over video conference or computer- based is highly preferred.
    • Experience in adult learning, instructional design and learning development preferred.

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: This position requires very little travel, if any.
