  • Overview

    The Global Brand Lead is the brand management subject matter expert, navigating clients through complex brand initiatives. This lead is the organization's expert in creating and capitalizing on a global definition of audiences, segments, and personas the brand seeks to serve. He/she drives the development and adoption of an inspirational brand strategy, defined audiences and renewed brand standards that are the ideal elements to move Compassion into the next level of active brand management in support of strategic intent. Provides highly competent leadership in the conduct of major, complex brand initiatives for multiple countries. Frequently coaches and oversees the work of other specialists and related staff and provides expertise across levels and disciplines.

    Essential Job Functions


    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Guards Compassion's brand as one of our most valuable assets. Maintains brand strategy and brand standards, develops brand standards in alignment with corporate strategy/vision, and actively manages the brand through on-going training, support and measurement.
    • Actively builds and leverages our brand as a strategic tool to bring about the transformation needed to facilitate sponsor/donor multiplication.
    • Provides high-level, strategic brand advocacy and oversight to inspire passion for who we are and for those we serve.  Creates unity to serve each part of the body together and builds trust by protecting our most valuable asset.
    • Leads all aspects of brand management from inception to successful inculcation, collaborating with program and marketing leaders across 37 countries, internal experts and leaders at all levels, external agencies, and other stakeholder as appropriate.
    • Manages the selection of agencies, consultants, and vendors in support of the brand management team.
    • Frequently coaches, provides expertise, and may oversee the work of other professionals and support staff in the department or division.

    • Bachelor's Degree 

    Work Experience

    • Fifteen years' professional experience working in this or similar field.

    *** Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown above ***

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 20% of normal schedule
