  • Overview

    This senior professional is responsible for the measurement and improvement of the enterprise agile maturity plan as well as facilitating learning about the agile model (SAFe) and the direct mentoring of agile teams. The specialist further shapes individuals and teams' understanding of enterprise agile, leading response to the ministry environment and coaching agile teams forward as the organization and the function changes and matures. At this career level, the incumbent leads or conducts major, complex projects and initiatives for multiple countries.

    Essential Job Functions

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Proactively maintains a current knowledge of Agile, lean, and SAFe principles and develops and leads training efforts to ensure all personnel involved in the Agile practice have the knowledge needed to participate well and are learning new and emerging best practices in the Agile discipline.
    • Ensures that SAFe/Agile best practices are actively being used and are effective in all Agile teams. Drives daily improvement through direct observation and partnership with Agile teams. Is familiar with and coaches teams to use continuous integration/continuous delivery, test-driven development, behavior-driven development, and other technology approaches that increase Agile throughput.
    • Responsible for leading the community of practice that is responsible for flow in our Agile model (primarily SCRUM & Kanban).
    • Accountable for the creation/modification of the Agile Adoption Approach as well as managing the measurement and feedback on maturity progress.
    • Serves as a coach and advocate for Agile methods in the ministry as a whole, and among leadership and cross-functional teams. Is a trusted and experienced expert in Agile business principles.
    • Coaches and provides expertise, and may oversee the work of other professionals and support staff in the agile discipline.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's Degree in related field.


    Work Experience

    • Ten years Professional experience working in the Agile field, project management, or similar discipline.

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
