  • Overview

    Serves and provides administrative support to our team’s Sr. Managers, partnering with them to execute and implement overarching team needs, including communication, reporting, training and event planning. Understands that the little things are often the big things and brings a passion for doing the small things exceptionally well. Manages and supervises the team’s Support Services staff and functions. Works in coordination with the Sr. Managers to help team achieve annual revenue goals.

    Essential Job Functions

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Provides administrative support to the team’s Sr. Managers, enabling them to successfully implement fundraising strategies, manage staff and serve a portfolio of donors. Administrative support includes (but is not limited to) proofreading, scheduling meetings, recording meeting minutes, producing reports, and coordinating travel. Develops and maintains reporting tools as needed.  
    • May assist Sr. Manager in preparing forecasts and projections, ensuring accountability for on-time and accurate completion of deliverables according to policy.
    • Supervises, manages, develops and cares for the team’s support services staff. Responsible for full cycle talent management – hiring, establishing goals and objectives, coaching, development, corrective action and termination, following standard corporate processes. Supports continuous learning and development that enhances individual performance and organizational capability.
    • Serves as an expert for staff answering questions, explaining processes, and communicating complex or detailed information. Follows-up on accuracy and process compliance, and ensures clear understanding between functions on strategic issues. May also interact directly with supporters and stakeholders external to Compassion.
    • Leads staff to perform a variety of general support work such as, but not limited to, answering phones, entering and retrieving electronic data, ordering supplies, and distributing mail.

    Education

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in field related to work performed. 

    Work Experience

    • 2 years of administrative management and/or staff management. 


    Licenses and Certifications

    • Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Salesforce (or other CRM) and Tableau preferred.  Proficient in English Language.

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
