    Responsible for developing and implementing Internet marketing strategies to achieve sponsorship and revenue objectives. Uses advertising platforms, strategic relationships, analytics, conversion optimization, copy writing or other creative ways to generate online sponsorships and donations.

    Essential Job Functions

    Responsibilities

    • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
    • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
    • Builds new and existing channel relationships and customizes a strategy for partnership with Compassion. Looks for ways for Compassion to maximize all possible opportunities. Further, implements methods and plans which ensure long-term retention and growth by maximizing the engagement of sponsors/donors and activities.
    • Independently carries out marketing activities based on assigned channel partnerships. Facilitates contract agreements, sets goals, and works to ensure the effective return on Compassion's investment in all channel relationships.
    • Cultivates strategic relationships within new and existing channels, building a strong, growing network of relationships to maintain the highest visibility for Compassion to meet revenue goals. Capitalizes on opportunities for growth within established channels and researches opportunities in emerging channels.
    • Carries out regular personal communication through telephone, correspondence, and occasional personal visits with relationships for the purpose of training and motivating channel relationships and to secure revenue across all Compassion product lines.
    • Shares the vision for involvement in Compassion's ministry with channel representatives by exposing them to the work in the field through vision trips. Serves as key participant on Compassion tours and project visits, meetings, and special events.
    • May be responsible for various types of speaking engagements advocating for Compassion or children in need.
    • May coach and provide expertise to other relationship managers in the Marketing Development discipline.
    • Assists with advertising in digital channels and using a limited set of tools and technologies to achieve acquisition, fundraising and retention goals. Assists with needed reporting and tracking of campaigns.

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field.


    Work Experience

    • Three years' experience working in this or similar position or field. Previous experience implementing digital marketing strategies and using online tools and technologies to achieve acquisition, fundraising, retention goals a plus.
    • Proficiency in the following is required: Facebook Ad Manager; Google Analytics or another analytics solution; Microsoft Office Suite; direct response copywriting; and ability to create reports that communicate updates and results on campaign implementation. 
    • Knowledge of the following is preferred: testing solutions like Optimizely or similar solution; search engine optimization principles; web usability principles; Salesforce; Tableau; Google AdWords; Doubleclick; and reporting and presentation solutions like Canva and Prezi.

    Working Environment: Office – Standard Office Environment

    Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day

    Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
