This entry level sourcing employee assists in a range of activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services on terms that are in the organization's best interest. He or she enters data into procurement systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information and tracks purchases and the status of orders and deliveries. At this entry level, the associate assists with the generation of purchasing reports and statistics, as well as monitoring the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied and is still learning the complexities of sourcing.
