Overview

This seasoned analyst develops and implements programs to establish and maintain quality standards and continuous process improvement for existing and proposed services and operations, as well as developing programs to focus employees on continuous quality improvement. This includes the development of policies, procedures and methods pertaining to operational components that ensure high quality and continuous improvement. Generally conducts process analysis independently or participates as a team member for major, complex, or international processes. Resides within the Supporter Retention & Engagement team, owning the core processes held by this team, while connecting with peers throughout the organization.  

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
  • Acts as an advocate for children – raising the awareness of the needs, neglect, nurture, and potential of children in poverty and challenging and enabling those within one’s influence to greater involvement and effectiveness on behalf of children.
  • Uses discretion and judgment in the application of structured process improvement principles through formal methods such as TQM (Total Quality Management) or Six Sigma to analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing mid and long-term business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements. Will assess current processes (evaluating such things as gap, impact, risk, etc.) and identify defects and areas of improvement to be redesigned.
  • Identifies and analyzes major business process problems and defines the scope of activities required to address the issues, including requirement definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining where appropriate to increase productivity and efficiency. Prepares supporting documentation such as presentations, future state maps, success metrics, business requirements and related impact analyses.
  • Uses standard industry tools such as process mapping or flowcharting, force field analysis, ishikawa diagrams, statistical process control, Lean, Six Sigma, to lead project teams through developing effective project plans and managing resources to collect and analyze process data, and develops new or enhanced business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced safety, increased productivity, improved effectiveness, and reduced cost.
  • Monitors and reports on process change progress, coordinates communication and priorities of all members of the process team, and provides clear and concise documentation that supports the milestones of the project.
  • Following implementation, ensures validation of new processes, including cost analysis and measurement of improvements.
  • May coach and provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the areas of Total Quality Management and Continual Process Improvement.

Qualifications

Faith

  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline.


Work Experience

  • Seven years' professional experience working in total quality management, continuous process improvement, and similar field.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Silver Level Certificate.
